The basic premise of the card game is to be handed cards totaling up to 21. Every competitor is handed two cards. When a player is handed a 9 or less and an Ace they’ve been dealt a soft hand. When the gambler receives no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been handed to every player at the blackjack table, which includes the dealer, every player is given the opportunity to make 1 of 6 decisions:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a gambler says "hit me" the dealer will give him another card, if the adding of that card causes the total greater than twenty one the blackjack player will have busted and that is the end of the game, if the card pushes the total to twenty one the blackjack player is the winner and if the total has not yet achieved twenty one they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you’ve been given: If a blackjack player is happy with the hand they’ll stay. As soon as this has happened the croupier will show their hand and the blackjack player who has gotten twenty-one or the nearest to twenty-one will come away with a win.
Doubling Down: A gambler might ask to double down which increases the wager by one hundred percent they have laid. As soon as you’ve taken this action you can only receive 1 additional card. The details of doubling down are normally out lined by the blackjack table or casino rules so before competing be certain you’re familiar with the casino game rules. If you are playing at an online betting house this is normally quite easy.
