I have gambled on countless of hands of twenty-one. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have played online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to beat the house.
I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a type of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get flush with this method or defeat the casino, however you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is centered on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets very enjoyable at times. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years back with $750 after 45 mins using this tactic! And a few days ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You have to comprehend that you can give away much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be astonished at the streaks you see playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Wager 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 5 dollar wager
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $10
Bet 10 dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 bet
Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Bet 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $20 bet
Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the original 40 dollar wager
Bet forty dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Wager $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the initial $80 bet
Bet 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Bet $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you left at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It is hard to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
